Quick Quotes
The music charts of the 1980s were crammed with classic pop and unforgettable dance tracks that will get your 80s theme party going. However not many of the number one hits of 1980 stand out as classic dance tracks and must play tunes for an 80s party today, but the tunes from Blondie and Abba can sometimes be played during a seventies party without people realising. The same thing apply's to the Queen track 'Don't stop me now', most people expect to here this at an 80s music party but it was actually released in early 1979.

As well as the good stuff there was also a load of gimmick novelty records and tuneless tunes released in the 80s that were total rubbish and should never be on a 80s party playlist. The last number one of the seventies and first of the 80s was from Pink Floyed and although every School kid at the time would agree with the lyrics it was never a dance track. Even back when it seemed like it was going to be number one for ever it wasn't popular on the dance floor. Just tracks from the The Specials and the Jam another brick appeals more to the lads at the bar than the ladies dancing round their handbags. For us the only number one considered a 80s cheesy disco dance classic is by Kelly Marie. The last number one from 1980 is defiantly a tune to avoid playing at an 80s party today and makes our worst tunes of the 80s list (unless its your grans birthday).
