The Christmas and new year number one was a cracker from
Human League which is a must play at many 80s partys today.
The second number one of 1982 should be one of our worst
tunes of the 80s as the land of make believe is a sickly
bit of pop pap but unlike Happy Talk which does make the
list, it escapes. It is not on the list because Bucks Fizz
won Eurovision and for some strange reason we like this
tune a lot. However unless you ask for it we would never
play it a 80s party because it would defiantly create a
dance floor walk off. back in the 80s winning Eurovision
seemed to count for something and Nicole also scored a number
one with her Euro winning a little peace beating the UK
entry from Bardo into 7th place.
For the lads top tunes from 1982 would include town called
malice, House of fun, and Come on Eileen. The best no 1
cheesy party tune from 82 was Fame.
